The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner
Live the life you dreamed of in your youth. Surround yourself with people who encourage you to live your passion to create both a fulfilling and happy life. - JBHeck
In the words of Sarah Penner, during her author talk in Windsor, CO on 4/27/24, "What did I like as a kid?" was the question she asked herself about her creative expression. She felt unfulfilled in her finance work and tried several creative endeavors to meet her creative need. Finally, she asked herself the above question and creative writing was her answer.
The answer to this question may reveal what you are truly meant to do now with passion, enthusiasm and for creative fulfillment. It worked for her as she recalled writing to be cathartic during the tumultuous time of teenager.
She also shared that the paperback version of her second book titled The London Seance Society debuts on 4/30/24. And, her third book about a sea witch covenant comes out 5/6/25. Finally, the sequel to The Lost Apothecary featuring Eliza as the main character to be released in 2027. By the way, a short story will be released in December 2024. Happy Reading with Sarah.
Fearlessness is my mantra after reading this book. Recently, I took a chance and joined a book club at our local library known as Books to Movies. Mickey 7, authored by Edward Ashton, was the book we read. In 2025, it will be made into a movie titled, Mickey 17. According to our club's host, the movie's director, Bong Joon Ho, really did not like the book and the movie is expected to be very different from the book. I enjoyed this sci-fi book and captured some of Mickey 7's best quotes in the inspirations below.
