My reading of Ariely's book, which is discussed and summarized below, inspired me to learn more about the current political action of our democracy. We all know our country is divided. This division when respected, and expressed in clear and concise language is the energy needed to creatively solve the governmental, social, economic, and foreign concerns of our American society.
The current Washington DC regime including the acts of Elon Musk are threatening our constitutional rights. The division of power has dissolved into one power ruled by name calling, threats, untruths, and bribery.
As its citizens, I hope we may unite as one and elevate awareness through peaceful protest before the democracy we once knew becomes completely eroded.

Notice how the President's oath DOES NOT include the words 'so help me GOD'.
Dan Ariely writes about the power of oaths as a way to restore integrity, honesty and trust.
I encourage you to create a life oath or intention and read it first thing in the morning, at noon and before bed.
I wish the elected and appointed leaders of this great nation were commanded to read their oath of office and recite the Pledge to the American Flag before every meeting, discussion and vote. Perhaps, then, they would pause before they think, act or speak and truly fulfill their obligation of service for the good of the people whom they represent, not the party they identify with or the wealthy who bribe.
What happened to our domestic tranquility as written and expected in the preamble?
The people of America allowed bullies to enter the lawmaking institutions of OUR country.
These bullies are not respected, and I personally am ashamed of their behavior. There is no trust. There is no accountability for their actions or their behavior. Some of you perpetuate this behavior by spreading the "viral videos". We must stop giving this type of behavior attention.
It's time to take back our country and demand truth, integrity, fairness, and respect in our nation's government and from all of our elected and appointed officials.
